Support
Up one level
LiveModern is a user-friendly website that makes it easy for members to add content.
Getting Started Guide
The LiveModern website is based on Plone, a content management system. Get started quickly by reviewing this guide. Other topics in the Support area expand on the Getting Started Guide.
Managing Your Membership
It's free and easy to join the LiveModern community. Here's how you manage your membership once you've joined. Of particular interest to many members is the section on how to determine your Login Name and/or Password if you've misplaced them.
Promote Your Business on LiveModern
LiveModern is an online social network connecting the modern market. Many of the tools we provide are free for you to use to promote your business. This document helps you understand how to promote your business using LiveModern's free tools.
Publishing an Event or News Item
LiveModern gets lots of press releases from companies and organizations seeking to publicize their events or products/services. Rather than publish these items for you, we've made it easy for you to publish the items yourself. All we ask is that you publish only items that are relevant to the LiveModern community.
Participating in Forums
LiveModern forums are free and open places to exchange information about modern housing. Here is a guide for effective use of the forums.
Blogging on LiveModern
Blogs, or weblogs, are a popular way to document a process, like building a house, using the web. A blog is kind of like a diary or journal, except its contents are made public on the web. Here's how to create and maintain a blog on LiveModern.
Adding and Displaying Images
You can display images (digital drawings, photos, etc.) on the pages you create on LiveModern by first uploading them to our server or another server (such as Flickr) and then referencing them in the content of your page. This document explains how to do both.
Advanced Support
These pages describe how to use the website in more detail. Please note that some of this content is based on an earlier version of Plone, and it thus out of date (this section will be deprecated soon). A better source for more up to date information is the Plone User Manual.
