Art under Attack: Histories of British Iconoclasm will be the first exhibit exclusively exploring damaged and defaced works. The central work is a 16th century Statue of the Dead Christ, who is missing a crown of thorns, both arms, and lower legs. Hidden under a London chapel floor for centuries, it is thought to have been damaged by religious reformers.  In other news, New Yorkers used a record amount of electricity yesterday, and can pavement reduce smog?
