It appears that BBC newsreader and Antiques Roadshow presenter is also a shedworker. As reported in the media, she has complained to her local council about plans to build a small block of flats near her home in London, largely on the basis that this will cause noise disturbance destroy her "treasured oasis of peace". This oasis includes her garden office which she says would only be 15ft from a large condenser plant which forms part of the building application. Her letter to the council continues: "Even in some sort of acoustic shed, there will still be a distressing level of noise. In my experience (and I work with professional sound engineers), even the best acoustic shed can reduce a noise but not deaden it altogether." -------------------------------------------------------------------- - Monday posts are sponsored by garden2office, the Swedish garden office specialists.
