This lovely ivy-encased art studio in San Francisco is the work of Scott Lewis Landscape Architecture who replaced a storage shed with this remarkably green shedworking atmosphere or as they put it, a “green cube” with ivy growing on a metal framework surrounding the studio. The second view is from the house's master bedroom deck showing the sand-set paving and lush planting beds with Japanese maples. This garden won an Honor Award in the American Society of Landscape Architects 2010 awards : the ASLA jury commented: "The garden pavilion, which creates has been transformed into a contemporary, sculptural, and useful sheltered space within the garden." Click the ASLA link above for lots more detail about how the project was landscaped.
