blue and gold

Creating a complementarly color scheme in blue and gold can evoke the contrasting themes of calm and vibrant – cool and warm. In the case of the fabrics featured above, we have also contrasted texture and pattern. Sometimes gold can feel heavy, but not in the case of  Amelia Sheer Stripe drapery; a double wide fabric made for an Amelia Island Resort. Cortez in cornflower is 100% silk in textural nubby weave in an almost luminescent blue. Matelasse Greek Key in gold is also 100% silk but in a refined finish with a traditional motif. Finally, Metropolitan linen upholstery in a soft lagoon blue, recalls the greek key motif executed with embroidery. The fabrics provide a gentle contrast in color, texture and pattern in a soothing, but never boring, composition. @ FabricSeen
