Name: Suzanne Location: Philadelphia, PA Square Feet: 850 Division: Small What I Love About My Small Home: Sometime during junior high school, I fell in love with the 18th Century and dreamed of going back in time (living/working in Colonial Williamsburg). At the same time, I wanted an urban city life in New York. To find old and authenticity in New York is astronomically expensive and considering I've never won lotto and make a modest income, the situation seemed hopeless. Then, I discovered Philadelphia, where there are plenty of pre-1900 row houses for a variety of prices, especially if you are willing to be flexible on the size. I never questioned the idea of a small historic home, however, it's one thing to suffer for your own interests but to subject your family to your insanity, is quite another. Fortunately, everyone has a sense of humor and we're fond of calling our house the best Valentine's Day present ever! We thoroughly enjoy the fireplaces, the patio, the Center City neighborhood, our small street, and that although it's small, there is a proper space for every activity. READ MORE »
