A lovely shedworking design by Nathalie de Leval (more excellent photos at her site) for fashion designer Sir Paul Smith as part of the V&A's  'The Wish List' project with the American Hardwood Export Council, Sir Terence Conran and Benchmark Furniture and as part of the London Design Festival (September 13-21). Smith said he wanted "somewhere where you can go to switch off, somewhere to relax" and the finished design - which measures 3m by 3m (apparently the same size as his first shop) and is built using thermo-treated ash - will not actually be in a garden but will be on top of a hill or in a forest. Best of all, it revolves, like George Bernard Shaw's, and has a panelled glass wall.
