I've always admired the subtle, spare work of modern masters like Tadao Ando, but when I was in architecture school, somehow every project turned into a riot of juxtaposed materials and unusual angles. The same goes for interior design: I give lip service to minimalism, but find myself irresistibly drawn to color and texture. But I think Lucy Fenton, the sylish Australian lady who lives above her homewares shop in Melbourne, has got my number. Her home manages to be simultaneously colorful and airy, interesting but not over-crowded. Let's take a look.  More
