How Do I Remove This '80s Tile from Original Tile Floor? — Good Questions

Q: As a new homeowner, I frequently find myself biting off more than I can chew. I came home one day and just had to pull up a layer of 80's tile that was covering the original 1930's tile in my (only) bathroom. Immediately. After successfully ripping out the vanity to reveal that the original tile was still intact, I started chipping away. It's now 3 hours later, and I've managed to uncover a 3-foot half circle. Yikes. I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm guessing that there's something really obvious that I'm missing (solvent? heat gun?) that someone with more experience in this realm could quickly point out.  More
