Q: I've seen a lot of articles and photos of offices combined with nurseries. While it seems great because a lot of people's offices consist of a desk, chair, and computer, I'm an independent children's fashion designer. I have things like sharp shears, scissors, sewing machine, rotary cutters- things are actually dangerous (also all of these are hand tools and can be put away easily.) I live in a 2-bedroom home, but our master bedroom is quite small. I can't afford to give up my studio [photo below] since I work from home and I'm starting my own business. Do you have any recommendations on how to safely combine the design studio with the nursery—if that's even possible? Oh, and I also practice ballet in there, hence the barre. Thanks! -Sent by Coco READ MORE »
