Zaha Hadid May Be Building Baghdad's New Museum — Design News 09.27.13

The Iraqi government has plans to build a new museum in West Baghdad to house works currently in the National Museum. They're reportedly calling on Zaha Hadid to design it. Neither the Iraqi-born architect nor the Ministry will comment on specifics of the museum, but the paper Azzaman reports the museum will be 500,000 square meters, on the site of the former Muthanna military airport.
