A lot of time-worn family treasures have been incorporated: the Chinese chest (used as a bench), the lacquer cabinet, the Navajo rug, the antique piano stool and the stacking basket, all came down through my family. My sister made the stained glass lamp, and the gallery wall incorporates some of my mother's original artwork. You are likely to find some of our travel souvenirs displayed here, as well. I also love that the space is multi-functional, acting as a "landing strip", but also providing additional storage capacity. Our house has limited closet space and no built-ins. The baskets and chests in the entryway provide so much needed and discreet storage space. READ MORE »
