While it would be perhaps pushing it slightly to suggest that sheds helped President Obama to be re-elected yesterday, they did play their own little part in the election process in Iowa. According to The Des Moines Register , a log cabin in a park in the middle of Slater (central Iowa, fact fans) was used a a polling station. The cabin was built in the late 1930s from native hardwoods and has a big American flag inside. Meanwhile, around 150 votes were cast in a maintenance shed in the titchy town of Berkley in Boone County - they had to take their snow plough out of the shed to put up all the voting paraphenalia, booths, tables, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wednesday posts are sponsored by The Stable Company® , the UK's premier supplier of garden offices and garden rooms.
