Exhibition George Nelson: Architect, Writer, Designer, Teacher Wednesday, November 7, 2012 (All day) – Friday, February 1, 2013 (All day) 1156 Chapel Street New Haven ,    Connecticut    06511 United States This exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of the work of George Nelson, one of the most influential figures in American design during the second half of the twentieth century. George Nelson: Architect, Writer, Designer, Teacher presents more than 120 three- dimensional objects—furniture, cabinets, lamps, clocks, and more— including the “Coconut Chair” (1956), “Marshmallow Sofa” (1956), “Ball Clock” (1947), and “Bubble Lamps” (1952 onwards).
