This beautiful design by Denizenworks - 6m² on a budget of £3,000 - is frankly not a garden office at all, it's a mobile sauna, though maybe you could do some thinking in here. Anyway, it's microarchitecture at its most enticing and here's what they say about it: In Åland, like most of Scandinavia, the sauna is one of the main social functions of the home. Our client had tried, unsuccessfully for many years, to obtain planning permission for a sauna. The planners do, however, allow the creation of mobile structures and so we built the sauna on runners to allow the sauna to be towed onto the frozen shores for a refreshing plunge into the icy waters during the winter months. The sauna was built by us from local materials including the internal cladding that was bought 12 years ago when our client first applied for planning permission.
