According to inhouse research from OfficePOD (pictured above), there is a 63% reduction in CO2 emissions when moving to OfficePOD from a traditional office. Here's how they reckon it when moving from five days in an office with commute to three days in an OfficePOD and two days travelling to a central office for meetings: 5.4 tonnes are created per user in the five day office situation compared to only 2 tonnes for the three day shedworking setup. As you'd expect, the savings come largely from the lack of commute and less power required for heating, lighting and cooling. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tuesday posts are sponsored by The Home Office Company , manufacturers of unique garden rooms since 1998.
