This week we feature the picks of Ken Beerger. Beerger has been practicing photography since the 1970s, when he studied at the Antonelli School of Photography in Philadelphia, PA. At the time he was working in large film format, and says that it taught him “to develop a keen eye and patience.” Beerger photographs a wide range of subjects, always maintaining an artful approach accompanied by a strong individual voice. To see his collection, visit Ken Beerger’s Portfolio.

Big Wheel by Jack Cousin
Sweeping and spatial. How does one capture a ferris wheel in a new way? Jack did it here. I can feel the dimensions.

Berlin Scooter by Timm Gluege
Wonderful simplistic composition, the rust on the fender balanced with the eye popping colors reminds me of the beauty in imperfection.

Point Reyes Bow by Suzanne Scott
I am a sucker for life shown with wear and tear on it, this is perfectly imperfect.

Paris, Eiffel Tower – The Iron Age by Raymond St. Arnaud
Raymond St. Arnaud is a master of vivid, in your face, bold photography, this is a perfect example.

Lost Alleys (NYC) by Carly Erin O’Neil
O’Neil is my urban photographer favorite, candid, easy to digest content in a bustling city, I am also very partial to B&W, so we speak the same language.
