Possibly one of the most fun stages in designing a dining room is the lighting. There are so many options, including statement chandeliers, but my personal favorite is pendant lighting. The range of styles is never-ending and so fun. Cluster pendant lighting. Whether you're entertaining or just dining solo at home, cluster pendant lighting provides a fun environment. Try clustering at different levels like this idea above. It's best to keep the pendant style simple if you're going to hang several together... A type of  globe pendant style would be perfect. Rustic pendant lighting. Lighting can provide the icing on top of the design cake. While this dining space above is perfectly rustic and modern, that basket style pendant adds the perfect detail. The size of the lighting is an important factor in any room, including the dining room. There are lots of drum-shade pendants, but this small one above is perfect for this tiny dining room. Monotone dining room with pendant lighting. There are always exceptions to every rule. If you want a minimal, modern look like this open dining room above then it's ok to choose a pendant light that might be a little under-scale. While  mini pendant lights  make their presence known, they never clutter a perfectly minimal design. What kind of pendant light fixtures do you use in your home?
