Like white lights but tired of them, you know, looking like white lights? Just looking for something new, something different to do your holiday strings this year? Well if you’ve at all been a fan of the geometric trend this year, you might really get a kick out of this fairly easy and affordable option for your white lights this year. Anyone with some paper and some folding skills can do it!

Found on Wit & Whistle, if you’re in the mood for a little origami, follow these instructions to create foldable little cubes that you can slip over your white lights. Kept white, you have a crisp modern string of lights. But get festive, if you like! What about some blue and white paper? Or perhaps some red and green paper? Or what about white cubes over rainbow lights? The options are varied and exciting! Find inspiring photos and instructions here.

Would you do this DIY project? What do you think about it?!
