Domestic Selections by Nick Ross and Fraser Reid

Young, recent grads Nick Ross and Fraser Reid have collaborated on a new project called Domestic Selections.

The project was commissioned by Creative Scotland, an organization that promotes design and creativity of Scottish designers. The series of unique chairs, each altered from a set of identical archetypes, was inspired by the idea that each is made from the hand of man. I love this description of the project: “Unlike the design process nature cannot start from a blank canvas but instead must work with what already exists to try and develop improved variants in what is a constant development process. Nature contains no finished articles but instead is populated with passable ‘work in processes.’”
