It’s safe to say that the visual properties of our house numbers don’t usually keep us up at night. While most of us go to extraordinary lengths to find just the right paint color and exterior cladding, the number signs that identify our home addresses usually fall victim to whatever is stocked at the local hardware store.

Which is why, when we saw these sleek metal numbers from 2213, a new Winnipeg-based company, we took note. Slender, stylish, and sans serif in proper modernist tradition, these powder-coated steel house numbers are Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) laser cut—which pretty much means they’ve been designed and crafted with the kind of precision and attention to detail that’s meant to be noticed.

And, at nearly 12 inches tall, notice them, you will.  Available in black, grey, white and (our personal favorite) orange, the numbers are, according to 2213, ”…exactly what you need, not less, not more.”  No argument here.
