Marbled wood. Something that, before seeing the work of artist Pernille Snedker Hansen, might definitely have made us think of something else. Now, not only will we always associate these amazing images with the idea of marbling wood, we’re considering, you know, having our entire home made out of this stuff.
Seriously. There are no words. Like if Lisa Frank grew up and married a wood worker, Pernille’s work uses an old marbling technique giving wood a “supernatural, organic, colorful and vibrant pattern. The applied decoration engages in a dialogue with the natural growth rings of the underlying wood.” Hell yes it does. Geez louise.
