Have an icky space you have no idea how you’ll ever turn into the modern palace of your dreams? Daniel Friedman would know what to do. He’s been shaping up boring, mundane and almost-offensive-they’re-so-ugly homes and apartments in the Tri-State Area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and turning them into modern, lovely spaces that make you go “How’d he do that?!” He’s not doing it by tearing all the walls out and buying lots of expensive modern furnishings…he’s simply taking one color and splashing it everywhere to brighten up the entire place and make a perfect canvas for affordable furniture and vintage finds. Daniel Friedman’s white-washing homes…and you should pay attention!

The next paragraph was written by some chick named Alli who isn’t Daniel nor dating him, but for some reason runs his blog. It’s unclear if she does so out of monetary gain, unrequited love or selfless friendship, but we’re appreciative of her efforts nonetheless:

“This one-stop shop takes average spaces in the tri-state area and completely reinvents them. In this case, Daniel Friedman redesigned a home in Metuchen, New Jersey into what feels like a Scandinavian retreat. We’re most impressed with Daniel’s ability to envision a floor-to-ceiling new look: Removing the carpets, patching, priming and painting the entire home different shades of white turned a bleak space into a chic, blissful, and modern refuge.”

And lest you think the only thing he knows how to do is paint things white, we invite you to check out all the other project photos on his website so you can see he’s got plenty of skills and talents in his bag.
