Jim Partridge and Liz Walmsley’s functional woodwork caught my attention right away. I think it was the thought of blackened wood. It was almost like a forced aging process but the end result is a beautiful transformation. The black shapes are beautiful to look and also to interact with. The furniture pieces encourage a touch, feel or taking a load off. I love the color blocking idea of these benches sitting on a white oak floor against a white wall, beautiful simplicity.
