SpunCluster1-1Standard Socket, a Seattle-based design company, has amassed a collection of modern light fixtures by connecting disparate design studios with a locally run manufacturing base. This Connect + Design + Make strategy has yielded a range of thoughtfully crafted, imaginative lighting models distinguished for their simple forms and inventive material applications. Featured lights in the Standard Socket collection include the Spun pendant from Seattle’s Ladies & Gentleman Studio, which boats a polished industrial profile of lustrous metals, paired with matte wood details; and Stokk, a light and airy confection from Urbancase, which melds slender bleached oak elements with powder coated steel—a design that’s as much artful mobile as pendant light. The Standard Socket collection is now available at 2Modern, and can be viewed here.
