It may be the most overused term in the design world, but for those whose mantra is “less is more,” there can never be too much “minimalism.” To the Australian-based design shop The Minimalist, which just opened a branch in Manhattan, minimalism “isn’t about buying less but buying better,” and to that end, they’ve stocked their shelves with a nicely edited  range of home goods and products aimed at the terminally color-shy. Think black-and-white, muted monochromes, simple geometrics, hand made, earth friendly—in other words, think design Nirvana.
