Wanna see what 25000′ feet of colored macrame cord arranged in a modern, geometric and walk-through-able way looks like? Thank goodness for Austin-based THOUGHTBARN  (you might remember them from Calabria Road Project and faceted mini golf project), an architecture, installation and furniture design firm that continually creates unusual and wonderful experiences for humans, in a structural sort of way. A Chromatic Confluence is located in Grand Center, St Louis and will only be up for a couple more weeks, so if you’ll be around, go experience this fabulous thoughtful clump of cord for yourself. Find lots of more photos in THOUGHTBARN’s Flickr stream. Visit the THOUGHTBARN website, too.

What do you think about this installation? Have you seen it in person?
