Final_0_main red-1Eindhoven-based Studio Macura, whose Pero 3D-printed bookmark was featured on this site last year, recently sent us photos of a pendant light which also employs 3D printing to novel effect. LETI would be an elegant, if somewhat ordinary, pendant light were it not for the figurine of a woodpecker, created via 3D printing, clipped onto its hanging cable. The lighting designcomprised of textile-covered hanging cable, glossy bulb holder, and oversized bare bulbhas been produced in 3 monochromatic colorways, and each matching bird, say the designers, “transforms a basic pendant light into an iconic poetic object.” We’re chirping in agreement.
