Wood House Dining Room Diana Budds In the Auckland, New Zealand, house architect Michal O'Sullivan designed for a family of four, natural materials and neutral tones come together to create an inviting interior. The wood ceiling is inspired by a traditional Maori cloak and is meant to be a metaphor for keeping the family warm and protected. A floor made from terra-cotta tiles mirrors the pattern above. An onyx island adds a white contrast to the golden interior. O'Sullivan designed the dining table and the occasional table is by B&B Italia . The side chairs are replica Jean Prouve design, the vase is by Kamaka Pottery , and the wine rack in the built-in shelf is similar to one by Winehive . See more of the modern wood home here .
