The majority of church conversions that I have seen are nice but I don’t know if I could actually live in one. This converted and transformed Methodist church may have just changed my mind. The marriage of the old exterior and the new interiors really work well together. I have to give credit to the owners as they have done an amazing job with furnishing and designing the interiors of this stunning conversion.

An elegant and expansive conversion of a stunning stone-built Grade II-listed former Methodist chapel; now a rare contemporary home (4,396 sq ft), on the edge of an exclusive village in beautiful countryside on the Dorset / Wiltshire border.

“The chapel was built in 1868, with typical Methodist architectural simplicity, yet with wonderful stone detailing and proportion. In this meticulous and imaginative transformation, designed by Gary Tarn, the exterior has been protected, cocooning a dramatic double-height living space, 4/5 bedrooms, large studio space, a family room, mezzanine study, a luxurious exercise pool and a cinema /disco room. It functions equally as a relaxing family home or a fabulous weekend entertaining party house.”
