This exhibition of Pierre Jeanneret and Le Corbusier is the work of Jousse Entreprise. I have always loved museums and galleries that have a style that lets the pieces breath and stand alone. Pierre Jeanneret’s design style has yet to “grab” me in the manner of some other designer of his era but I can certainly respect his designs.

“Pierre Jeanneret (1896-1967), an architect and designer of furniture, be it private or urban, worked for many years with his cousin Le Corbusier, particularly through the creation and organization of the CIAMs (International Congresses of Modern Architecture).

The exhibition presents a coherent selection of pieces, marked by this concern with things human and this attentiveness to the world. Most of them come from the administrative buildings of Chandigarh, such as the Parliament, the High Court, hospitals, and Punjab University.”
