It’s a pity kids won’t necessarily be impressed, but we think it’s pretty cool to be riding a tricycle decorated with a specially commissioned pattern by a prolific book illustrator. Coralie Bickford-Smith, who designs books for Penguin, and has created illustrations for the New York Times, designed this winsome “an apple a day” pattern for kids’ bike maker Wishbone Design. We only hope parents will be design-savvy enough to know what they’ve bought, even as their little ones remain oblivious.
