Not all of the amazing things to see at ICFF this year were from professional designers. A popular hangout spot was Recyclable Composites, the booth of the furniture design students from the Rhode Island School of Design. From Jennifer: “Recyclable Composites, an exhibit by the students of the department of furniture design at RISD was a clear favorite stop at ICFF. Students were instructed to use Twintex, a commingled glass and thermoplastic polypropylene fiber filament to create a furniture or lighting fixture. These explorations push the boundaries of both design and the customary use for this product. Twintex is a recyclable product making the use sustainable.” Follow RISD on Twitter.

Remember to check back to the 2Modern blog often under our ICFF 2011 tag to find the latest and greatest from the International Contemporary Furniture Fair taking place this weekend in New York!
