Austin-based architect Jamie Chioco has and always will be a big favorite of ours. He’s just got a great style. And his spaces are modern, sure, but also tons of fun. And his material choices! Ahh! His newest project in Austin is rocking our faces off, as usual, and what great timing! It’s a restaurant and it’s time for this week’s Food/Design post! World, meet Lavaca Teppan.

Where to start?! Love the wood wall. Love that all-glass wall, blurring the lines between the outside and in. Love the bright yellow chairs. LOVE those amazing geometric metal lights. Love the layout. Love the big, comfy-looking gray banquette seating. Love the pops of nature with the greenery. Man we love it.

What do you think about this new restaurant by architect Jamie Chioco?! Let us know!
