Danish Brand Normann Copenhagen will soon be offering the Ding coffee table, introduced in 2011 by German design studio Ding 3000. The table’s glass top rests on an asterisk-shaped module (said to be inspired by ancient brain teaser puzzles) comprised of three perfectly-notched interlocking pieces of oak that are slotted together without the aid of hardware or tools. Ding will be available in three finishes—natural, black and coral—and with either a clear or smoked glass top.
