Solar PAYS!!! Literally!

For those doubters out there who think solar is a waste of money...well...you're just wrong. Got our first bill today for 85 and 89 Weatherby and with the distribution credit we got back from Georgia Power (the electricity we put back on the grid which they pay us for) our bill was cut by 72%. Though it isn't being lived in, the past month in Atlanta has been extremely cold and we've had the heat on at 68 the entire time. There were also workers in there 8-10 hours a day everyday so a lot of power was being utilized. Given all of that, to see this kind of impact the solar is having during the least productive part of the year (December-late January) is very exciting. I can't imagine what these things are going to do in mid July when it's blazing outside.
This is the dual meter setup on the back of 85 and 89 Weatherby. The meter on the right meters the energy we put back on the grid from the PV system. The meter on the left is a standard meter reading the energy we take off the grid. It's a fairly easy concept.
