by Aaron Britt I've been a fan of San Diego-based architect-artist-teacher Christopher Puzio's work since I first spotted it while reporting this Detour story about the sunny SoCal town. I've kept in touch with Puzio every since and just the other day he sent me this new video on a pair of sculptures he designed and fabricated for the San Diego County Medical Examiner building. "These large-scale environment elements are composed of aluminum and stainless steel components," he says, "and are perceived as forms which echo the geometry and pattern of star formations and biological structures. Star Cluster aspires to the heavens while Cell Cluster references microbiology." Check out this awesome video by Charles Bergquist to hear more from Puzio and to see him put these awesome sculptures together.
