The Simon Jacobsen Residence sits on the historic streets of Georgetown in Washington, D.C. The now single family home was originally two houses, both built in 1863 and only recently joined together. I don’t know that I have ever seen this type of architecture modernized, it is a interesting juxtaposition. I do like the white painted wood floors, they make the space feel much larger and open.
