Image from Better Homes & Garden Clients and friends often think that in order to make a statement in a room they have to use color. While color is one great way to make a statement, there are other ways to do so as well and drum shade chandeliers are one great option. Texture, pattern and size are three of my favorite design elements to do just that. Lighting is one of my favorite items in a space, and making a bold statement with elegant drum shade chandelier designs  can be a great way to draw the eye up, making the ceilings feel taller, room feel generally brighter, and cause guests to "ohh" and "aww" over the room. As you can see from the inspiration pictures, using a white or natural shade allows your eyes to breath, scanning the whole room without bursts of color breaking up the harmony and flow. When you use a neutral color, play with the size of the shade, chandelier or pendant, as this can be a great way to bring big impact to a simple design.
