When you think of an European style bathroom, an image of a minimalist, straightforward design probably comes to mind. When it comes to design, everything is planned, down to the smallest detail. The lines and style of each element and their visual impact are considered during the design process.   For example, the frame of the mirror might be made of the same material as the vanity. You'll also notice a lack of clutter in this style of bathroom -- both visual and physical.  Every piece has a purpose. The emphasis on minimalism is often in consideration of the fact that European baths tend to be smaller than their American cousins, so the design needs to maximize every available inch. Some bathrooms are so small that a space called a "wet room," or a space that has no discernible shower space are used. Modern Euro style bathroom vanities gravitate towards sleek lines, and the hardware and accessories are usually understated and specific to the overall design of the space.  The overall look and feel of a European style bathroom is uncluttered, clean-lined and relaxing.  But this doesn't have to mean that bathrooms in this style lack personality. Add interesting lighting like unique wall sconces and modern pendants to personalize the space, like the bathroom above with the fun and colorful tile backsplash and unusual sconce.
