This mid century revival by Klopf Architecture is a wonderful example of a mid century house getting a desperately needed update. The 1950s original mid-century modern house designed by the late Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice Ellis Jacobs. The original owners built the house practically on their own. Exposed brick and wood beamed ceilings gave the original house an exposed industrial feel. The new owners wanted to close up some of the rawness but keep the iconic post and beam roof. I do have to admit, I would have liked to see some sort of mid century furnishing on the home but to each their own.
