The work of this architecture firm is definitely of the high-intellectual, conceptual variety. These aren’t houses that will — or are meant to — blend in with their surroundings. Their Letterbox House makes us think of two things when we glimpse it on its site: some sort of alien insect slowly emerging from its slumber under the ground, or some sort of faceted asteroid that instead of creating an impact crater landed slowly and delicately onto a lawn. It’s definitely not for everyone, but we think it’s modern because it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before. More here.
