We’ve featured the ultra-minimal tables by Italian brand Kristalia more than once on this site (see them here and here), and a look at these recent photos from Kristalia is a reminder of why. The company’s new Boiacca Wood table is their latest iteration of the Boiacca collection of cement tables introduced in 2011 and 2012, and it expresses the same preoccupation with barely-there slimness and disdain for superfluous details as the originals. Created by Paolo Lucid and Luca Pevere of the Udine-based design studio LucidPevere, the Boiacca Wood version boasts steel-reinforced solid oak legs and a laminate table top in either black or white, set in a lacquered aluminum frame. We could go on and on about the table’s refined elegance, it’s pure and precise beauty, its reductive sophistication, of course. But why? Less, as these photos attest, is plenty dazzling.
