We love an ultra modern house. And we love an old modern house that’s been made to look ultra modern. But we also really love a home that embraces its quirks, finds its authentic, true personality and mixes and melds styles and eras until it hits on the perfect mix of old and new. Like Tracy’s House, as spotted on At Home, the website of amazing, Los Angeles-based photographer Laure Joliet. What she had to say about this home:

“She met us in her hillside place and gave us the full tour of the airy, seventies retreat complete with flagstone fireplace, decorative concrete tile and wall to wall carpet. Only Tracy could make it work. She served us quiche and arugula salad, Simba lounged next to us, and we soaked it all up until it was time to go home. It’s the kind of thing that makes me nostalgic for California while I’m sitting right there.” Find more information and more photos here.

What do you think about this 70s inspired space?
