Your friendly blogger is taking two days off! Enjoy some of this summer’s most popular posts: First of all, of all the names of furniture pieces available today, the most fun one to say has got to be “poof.” Just try to tell me I’m on wrong on that. Maybe “Chinoiserie” could give “poof” some competition, but we like “poof’s” simplicity more. What are we talking about? Well, for one, an awesome DIY fabric poof project we spotted on Design*Sponge.

Now, this project isn’t for someone who thinks sewing is using a needle and thread to sloppily repair a hem…this is definitely a project that’s going to need a little sew know-how. But, if you are a novice sewer and have been wondering how you make an adorable and colorful poof, well today’s your lucky day. We think this is such a great addition to a modern room–a fun, personality-filled alternative to regular old square floor cushions. And, it’s great way to bring in lots of color to a space! See all the photos and instructions on Design*Sponge.
