We. Are. Speechless. How we’ve just come across Nick van Woert’s work is a shame but we’re so glad we finally have. This Reno, Nevada-born sculptor now lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, and his work is less about shaping or sculpting materials into artistic pieces and more about assembling, pouring and shaping tiny environments that then become a sculptural piece.

We are just so bowled over. From his “Piles,” which are brightly colored and smartly stacked towers that beg to be placed in someone’s modern corner to the wonderful leaning pieces that, if you’re an architect or architecture student, you’ll recognize as those templates you use when creating hand-drawn construction documents. Then there’s the amazing pieces that feature polyurethane and resin poured over marble busts to create absolutely outrageously wonderful sculptures. We literally can’t pick a favorite, but we can say we love the materials palette he’s chosen to work with and can’t wait to see what else he does in the future. More.

Which of his work is your favorite? We know we said we couldn’t choose but we’re asking you to.
