Our friends at urbancase collaborated with Design Commission of Seattle on the Bloct iPad stand. “Made from Douglas Fir laminated beams, the heft and style is a nice contrast to the glass and aluminum iPad.” We agree! See it for yourself on the shop Bloct site. Totally $65.

“Our Model A.1 is made out of a 6” x 12” Douglas Fir glue-laminated beam. Usually used for major structural component in building construction, we opted for the gluelam material because of its dimensional stability and warm feel. We’re staying true to the material by not finishing it, allowing a patina of use to build up over time.”
