Collectively, they are the perfect symbol for Boston, and for our response to the bombings.”

Boston Magazine’s May cover, released this morning, and on newsstands as early as Friday, features a stunning image by Mitchell Feinberg created from 120 pairs of shoes donated by participants of the Boston marathon. The story of how the photo shoot came together in the immediately aftermath of the bombings can (and should) be read here.
