Ciseal on 2ModernAs part of our focus on emerging American makers, we’re highlighting the work of 5 new 2Modern design brands:

Ciseal: Nicole Hodsdon of Ciseal, the Irish word for “layer,” handcrafts bent plywood home objects from her Michigan studio.

micklish: The thought and creativity Curtis Micklish pours into each of the products in his micklish line is evident in both the form and functionality of his designs.

Revolution Design House: The team behind Revolution Design House follow the design mantra “Love what you own.” Their collection of unique, yet timeless objects are made in Portland, Oregon.

Strand Design: Based in Chicago, Illinois, Strand Design uses only sustainably sourced and locally manufactured materials in their line of lighting and home decor.

Studio44eighty: Fritz Muegenburg of the Oakland-based studio44eighty gives a beautiful twist to a set of everyday kitchen tools—the salt shaker and pepper mill.
