Swiss design house Vitra has collaborated with Dutch fashion label G-Star RAW for a new collection of contemporary office furniture originally designed by French master Jean Prouvé. The Prouvé RAW Office Edition, which debuted in Milan last month, and will be showing during New York’s ICFF this week, is a limited edition suite of 10 chairs, tables, storage units and lamps, each updated to contemporary workplace standards.

Working directly with the Prouvé family, Vitra and G-Star RAW have given a selection of Prouvé designs—more than 70 years old, and distinct for their architectural profiles and industrial materials—a meticulous modern-day remake via a range of contemporary materials, including leather and fabric, and a restrained color palette of greens, blacks and creams.

This marks the second collaboration between Vitra and G-Star RAW, whose previous Prouvé RAW furniture range was designed specifically as an expression of the fashion label’s esthetic, and created as bespoke furnishings for its offices and conference rooms. The Prouvé RAW Office Edition moves beyond G-Star RAW constraints, and will be made available to a broader range of interested companies and consumers. Vitra G Star Raw Prouve ChairVitra G Star Raw deskVitra G Star Raw StorageVitra G Star Raw LampVitra G Straw Raw Rolling Office ChairVia Designboom
